Today is Throwback Thursday and I started to post a throwback picture on my Facebook as a lot of us do.
However, given the recent unnecessary tragic death of Stephan Clark, I am going to throwback to a conversation my mother and I had approximately 7 or 8 years ago.
She was very sick and was in the hospital for a period of time and during this period of time I seriously contemplated moving back to California to help my Mom and Dad and take some pressure off my sister.
I had a guilty feeling living in another country while my Mom was sick and my parents are growing older.
President Barack Obama was elected the first recognized African-American president of the United States on November 5, 2008, transcending centuries of inequality in America.
“A life is not important except in the impact it has on others’ lives”. This was said by Jackie Robinson, the first black baseball player in the Major League Baseball, who paved the way for other African-Americans in the world of sports. African-Americans have had a huge influence in many different areas of sports. Some sports would not be the same with out the influence of certain black athletes.
